Iyengan Yoga – slow paced.
Class is part of RCC’s Community Education, Young @ Heart Program, which is grant-funded, and is free to those 55+. When the RCC classes are not in session, class is offered on a donation basis, although donations are not mandatory. The classes continue at the same dates/times.
Tammy is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor (CIYT). Research has shown that Iyengar Yoga is benefical for older adults in that it improves balance, helps to maintain flexibility, can lower blood pressure, improve bone strength and can be modified for those with physical issues or medical conditions.
Must bring your own yoga mat and props (blankets, blocks, strap, bolster).
