Day 1
Today is the beginning of this Nevada Adventure Tour. You will see Nevada in a unique and interesting way. Get ready! Our first stop will be on Fremont Street in Las Vegas, where we visit the famous Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement called the “Mob Museum”. Las Vegas was a city ruled by the Mafia and Gangsters. The Museum is in the historic Justice Department building where crime cases took place. Spend additional time in downtown Las Vegas for dinner on your own. We continue on to our hotel called the Hoover Dam Lodge. This hotel is set among the rocky desert hills in the Lake Mead National Recreation area. We will spend 3 nights here enjoying a welcoming casual atmosphere, casino, and restaurants.

Day 2
Today will be our day to visit the historic city of Boulder City, Nevada, the city that built the Hoover Dam. Our first stop will be the Nevada State Railroad Museum & The Nevada Southern Railway. The Union Pacific Railroad was the railroad that serviced the Boulder Dam building project. We will take a short ride on a diesel locomotive to view the beautiful Nevada desert landscape. Have your camera ready. Our next stop will be the historic district of Boulder City, built to house the workers who came to work on the dam. There are many shops, cafes, and historic buildings in this charming city to explore on your own.

Day 3
Today’s highlight is Lake Mead, the reservoir of Hoover Dam. Next we take a guided tour of Hoover Dam to see, inside and out, one of the greatest engineering achievements in human history. This dam produces hydroelectric power and water for irrigation using the Colorado River as a good water source. View the amazing Mike O’Callaghan – Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. In the afternoon enjoy a Mississippi Style Paddle Wheeler cruise on the “Desert Princess” with a narrated 90 minute cruise. Photographers – you will be delighted with views of Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, incredible rock formations, and blue water. We return to the hotel to enjoy the evening.

Day 4
We leave behind wonderful Boulder City, Nevada with a lot of memories and stories to tell. We will make a stop at the Las Vegas Strip to explore the big hotels and many restaurants for lunch on your own. Then we continue on our way home.
